This type of architecture is a neat relic of the past, it's just a shame it was applied to such a faceless, basic civil structure that's going to be demolished. As far as parking structures go, this is (aesthetically) one of the city's best. It's a shame the connecting tubes and courts have more fenestration than the arena itself. Why build a riverfront arena with no windows? In 1979 Detroit, people didn't want to be reminded of where they were.
