Dequindre Cut Set to Officially Open

The Detroit RiverFront Conservancy will be hosting a grand opening blowout for the Cut on May 14.

Soooo... what is the Dequindre Cut. I gather it's a road but where is it and what does the DRFC thisnk it will do for the city?

It is a Greenway/Bike Path/Walkway converted from a former rail bed. It links Tricentennial Park to Gratiot. Eventually you will be able to walk or ride from the river to Eastern Market. The final phase will extended all the way to Mack.
