I hoisted a few in the Woodbridge in my time. A good old saloon and I was sad to hear that it had burned. But I can't understand why they would board it up like this. Why not demolish, since the building is clearly finished? What would be the point of rebuilding from the same four walls, since everything nice and old and creaky inside has burned?
Many a memorable Friday evening were spent here after work in the 70's when the FDA office was just down the street. Hanging with the Customs folks and the DEA folks as well. Met Jerry Cavanaugh there one time sitting alone - years after he was out of office. Still remember the tin roof inside.
